Botanical name sesamum indicum, extract from seeds by cold pressed, the sesame plant are contained inside a long nut, when cold pressed, they give a high yield of clear, pale or dark yellow oil. Sesame seed oil is rich in vitamins and minerals. Its vitamin E content gives the oil excellent stability. Sesame oil is beneficial for dry skin, psoriasis and eczema, it also protects the skin, adding warmth and suppleness to the body. Sesame oil is used extensively in Ayurvedic treatments, especially for vata imbalances.

The sesame oil is a commonly used carrier oil for cosmetic products, it has the same emollient properties as other nut and vegetable oils. Sesame oil is useful in suntan lotions as it blocks 30 percent of the sun's burning UV rays. It softens and conditions skin. Helps regenerate damaged skin from UV radiation. Rich in Vitamin B2, which plays an important role in forming healthy cell tissue. Contain minerals, proteins, lecithin and amino-acids. Good use in psoriasis, eczema, rheumatism, arthritis, softens and conditions and all skin types. Used 10-20 percent dilution with others base oils.
