Calendula Infused Oil

Botanical name Calendula Officinalis, extract from flowers head and petals infused in Olive oil. The Caluendula oil is renowned for its anti-inflammatory, healing and soothing properties and is highly beneficial for skin disorders. It can be included in preparations to protect against chapped or cracked hands and feet as well as chilblains. Calendula is useful for varicose veins, broken veins, leg ulcers and bed sores. It may help to reduce thread veins on the face if used over a long period of time. Cracked nipples in nursing mothers can be soothed by the application of calendula oil. It can also have a favorable effect on dry eczema. Scars may also be prevented or reduced. Calendula can also be applied gently to bruises.

Calendula oil is obtained from the calendula blossom. It would normally be added to a blend in up to 10 percent solution, although it can be uses in its own right. It is one of the expensive carrier oil. It can be effectively used in cases of oily and or delicate skin as well as for acne. Used dilution in others oil, cream or aloe vera gel.
